ARC season finale entries open

Entries for this year’s Subaru Canberra Rally of Canberra in November are now being accepted.

Serving as the final round of the 2023 Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC) season, the Canberra-based rally will run as the second endurance event for the year, where a winner will be declared based on the combined Saturday and Sunday legs of the rally.

Awaiting Australia’s best rally crews in the nation’s capital will be around 181 competitive kilometres spread across five sections, with the event’s 12 special stages to be run over two days.

The action gets underway on Saturday with 106 kilometres making up the day’s competitive distance before the remaining 75 kilometres are run over another six stages, the last of which will be the EROAD Power Stage.

Rally fans will be able to watch the EROAD Power Stage live and free via 7plus.

While most of the stages will be familiar to those who have previously contested the challenging event, this year will introduce a new stage – an enormous 24 kilometre stage that will kick off the event on the Saturday morning, before the second pass in the early afternoon.

Interested crews have until 6pm AEDT on Friday 3 November to enter the event and can do so via the Motorsport Australia Member Portal.

Clerk of Course Adrian Dudok was looking forward to seeing the nation’s best crews tackle the event.

“The Subaru Canberra Rally of Canberra is notorious for its difficulty and high attrition rates every year, and I have no doubt this time around will be no different,” Dudok said.

“We pride ourselves on creating a rally that tests even the best rally drivers in the country and I believe this event does exactly that – I suspect teams will need to be at their absolute best to get through it.

“We obviously have a similar itinerary to the previous editions of this great rally, but with the addition of the Oakey Creek stage, which will undoubtedly add to the challenge and keep teams on the edge right from the start.

“I think rally crews will really embrace this event and we can’t wait to welcome the best in the country.”
