Entries are now open for the 2018 Subaru Rally Tasmania, which will take place in and around Launceston on 27-29 July.
While all eyes will be on Canberra’s Netier National Capital Rally this week, the excitement is building as the CAMS Australian Rally Championship prepares to return to the Apple Isle for the first time since 2010.
The event promises to throw a raft of challenges at competitors, with Saturday’s heat starting in the Diddleum Plains area on smooth flowing roads before heading to the tight and technical stages in the Sideling Range and Lisle State Forest.
Sunday’s stages will move to the north of Launceston to Retreat Forest, which is known for its fast and open forestry roads.
The rally action kicks off on Friday night, with fans treated to a ceremonial start and 900-metre Super Special Stage at Inveresk, adjacent to the service park in the Aurora Stadium environs.
Subaru Rally Tasmania will be round four of the CAMS ARC, and will also host round three of the Tasmanian Rally Championship and round three of the Buckby Subaru RS Challenge.
