Star Studded Line Up For National Capital Rally

A high-quality field of 49 entries has been received for the National Capital Rally, including 16 entries into the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship, representing nine countries including India, Finland and Australia.

Event Manager Adrian Coppin has today stated the events excitement of the quality field of entries across all levels of the sport.

“It’s great to see so many exciting entries in this year’s FIA APRC National Capital rally, with more entries in the APRC field for many years, showing the growing support for international rallying within Australia.

“We will see car one on the road as reigning APRC champion Gaurav Gill in his Skoda Fabia R5, one of the most powerful cars that the Canberra forest roads have ever seen. He will be sharing the road with some of Australia’s and the worlds most talented drivers including local talent such as Rhys Pinter who is stepping up into the APRC for this event.

This event is a round of the FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship, the CAMS Australian Rally Championship the NSW Rally Championship and the ACT Regional Rally Series.

“The Australian Championship will be hotly contested by Australia’s best drivers, with current leader Nathan Quinn to expect fierce competition from reigning champion Molly Taylor as well as local competitor Harry Bates.

“Only time will tell who will come out on top for the event, with this much talent it will be hard to take bets before the event.

“One thing is for certain, this event will be bigger and better than ever. With more talent, more spectating options and public events the FIA APRC National Capital Rally is shaping up to be a great event for all involved,” Adrian Coppin concluded.
