The Accent Benchtops Rally Queensland will now begin on Saturday afternoon for national competitors.
Following heavy rainfall, Saturday’s action had originally been cancelled, however organisers have been working hard to maximise the amount of competitive kilometres for the event.
It can now be confirmed that the event will become an ‘endurance’ event for RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship crews, with the first two stages to take place on Saturday for national competitors only.
ARC Crews will now run a shortened Brooyar West Short Special Stage twice on Saturday afternoon from 3pm, before an extended Sunday itinerary culminating in the EROAD Power Stage on Sunday afternoon.
Queensland Rally Championship crews will run all stages on Sunday, except for the EROAD Power Stage, the final pass of Gympie Gold. The endurance event will also allow for full Championship points to be awarded.
