Officials wanted for Rally Grand Finale

Want to have the best seat in the house when world’s best rally drivers take on the Coffs Coast next month for the Kennards Hire Rally Australia?

Motor sport enthusiasts from around the country are encouraged to get involved as an official for the international event, with more than 1500 volunteers needed to put on the successful event.

There are also entry-level roles available which do not require previous experience or training, with anyone with a passion for motor sport welcome to be part of the Coffs Coast officials’ family.

While travel and accommodation will not be covered, a variety of other goods and services will be offered to volunteering officials such as merchandise, vouchers and a pass to an exclusive after party following the event.

Every official taking part in the four-day event will also be in the running for special prizes on offer including flights, accommodation and entry to the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix 2019, as well as signed memorabilia from some of the world’s best rally drivers.

This year’s rally will be the seventh time the Coffs Coast has hosted a round in the WRC, with the New South Wales coastal town first holding the event in 2011.

It will be a dramatic climax to the WRC, as only eight points separate the top-two drivers in Thierry Neuville from Belgium and Frenchman Sébastien Ogier, with the championship certain to be determined down under.

It won’t just be the WRC tight fight taking place, which will be decided, with Australia’s best rally drivers also competing in their final for the CAMS Australian Rally Championship.

Eli Evans currently leads the ARC after taking out three rounds throughout the year, while Harry Bates and Steve Glenney are also in with a chance to claim the championship.
