This year’s Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship final round will take on a new look and a new name, with the Subaru Canberra Rally of Canberra to take place on 18-19 November.
Promoted by the Brindabella Motorsports Club, the Subaru Canberra Rally of Canberra returns to its early 2000s roots, when the event was previously known as the Subaru Rally of Canberra.
The rebrand of the event, with a new logo, coincides with the release of the event’s fast facts document – a key piece of information for interested competitors.
This year, local dealer Subaru Canberra has thrown its support behind the ARC’s sixth round, which promises to deliver an exciting finish to a highly competitive 2023 season.
Organisers of the event were excited about what the rally had to offer.
“Not only has the rally name undergone a transformation, but this year’s event has also seen extensive redesign and enhancement, with a strong focus on enhancing both the competitor and the spectator experience,” an event statement said.
“Competition will take place in the captivating forests west of Canberra within the Tidbinbilla / Cotter regions on Saturday, 18 November. Crews will then return to the familiar roads of Kowen Forrest on Sunday, 19 November.
“The rally service park will also have a new home in 2023. This years’ service will be located closer to the city and will be established in Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC). The new location will provide crews and spectators with access to on-site facilities including local petrol stations, fast-food outlets.”
Subaru Canberra Dealer Principal Jon Dudok expressed his excitement for the upcoming event.
“Supporting the ROC and helping create new rally memories for the next generation brings a great source of pride to the dealership,” Dudok said.
“The old Subaru Rally of Canberra was a big part of my upbringing, and I have many great family memories from the forests around Canberra.”
