The RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship begins this month with the Netier National Capital Rally returning for its eighth edition in Canberra.
The championship’s first round will have Australia’s best rally drivers taking on 120 competitive kilometres of, in and around, the Tidbinbilla and Kowen forests.
A Super Special Stage will take place on the Saturday afternoon at Kowen Rally Village before the event continues on Sunday with two dedicated spectator points available for fans.
The action isn’t just happening on the stages, with plenty of entertainment also taking place across the weekend, including at the Woden service park where fans can get up close and personal with drivers and teams.
Event Director Adrian Dudok believed that hosting the championship’s opening round gave them an opportunity to add a number of extra activations.
“The new calendar position for Canberra of round 1 has allowed us to make use of the warmer weather,” Dudok said during the event’s launch.
“Expect plenty of free fun for the family with jumping castle, face painting, DJ, pop-up bar, food, rally show and much more.
“The entry list is looking amazing with what I believe is the best quality field of drivers the ARC has seen for a long time.”
The event is also hosting the opening round of the MTA Motorsport Australia NSW Rally Championship and East Coast Classic Series, with entries still open for all.
The full entry list will be revealed early next week.
The Netier National Capital Rally takes place in Canberra on 21-22 March.
