Competitors can now secure their place in this year’s Netier National Capital Rally – the first of the CAMS Australian Rally Championship’s compact one day events.
The new look event will be the second round of the CAMS Australian Rally Championship (ARC) and the third round of the CAMS MTA NSW Rally Championship. It will also incorporate the 2019 East Coast Classic Rally Series and 2019 ACT Regional Rally Series.
With eight stages to be held on the outskirts of Canberra on Saturday, 11 May, the event will reduce costs for competitors and give fans a unique insight into rally. There will be 144 competitive kilometres held on the one day, with stages close together to reduce liaison time for crews. The first crew will leave the service park early Saturday morning with the podium celebrations are expected to begin at 4.30pm.
The draft schedule can be viewed in the Draft Supplementary Regulations here.
A ceremonial start will be held at the service park on Friday night outside the Abode Woden Hotel – a new event sponsor in 2019.
After a promising start to their 2019 ARC campaign, Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia will be eager to impress again – with both Harry Bates and Lewis Bates rallying in front of friends and family in what is the team’s home event.
Any interested competitors can enter here – entries close on 24 April.
