Richie Dalton’s time sporting a moustache will soon be over as Movember concludes for another year.
The charismatic Irishman has been donning the mo’ during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide.
An ongoing donor to charities of all kinds, Dalton chose to actually take part in the annual charity event in the hopes of raising $2000.
While he believed it was a good cause, Dalton was looking forward to shaving his moustache after
“I do quite a bit for charity, and this year I thought that rather than just give the usual financial donation, I thought it would be good to actually participate in it,” Dalton said.
“There was no specific reason to be honest. It was more just wanting to do rather than just give and lead by example in a way.
“It is quite a big deal because I knew I was going to be photographed with it all weekend and had put myself in an uncomfortable situation, but I will gladly deal with the banter as it’s for a good cause.
“I try and do what I can as I am in a position to do it, although admittedly I look forward to shaving it off.
“It would be really nice if that community could donate – anything would help.”
