The FIA Girls on Track program will make its first ever appearance in Canberra this year as part of the Netier National Capital Rally.
Coinciding with the opening round of the RSEA Safety Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC), the Friday event will see young girls aged 8-14 taking part in a variety of activities to give them an insight into the world of motorsport.

The event will be accepting registrations for both individuals and school groups.
Making the event possible is both the Brindabella Motorsport Club and the Canberra rally’s naming rights partner, Netier.
A leading IT support and service provider in Canberra and Brisbane, Netier has been a major sponsor of the National Capital Rally since 2018.
And with the Girls on Track program growing in popularity around the country, the company has thrown its support behind Girls on Track to help bring it to the nation’s capital.
Netier HR and Marketing Manager Jess Scanes believed it was an easy decision to partner up with the program and highlight the many career opportunity for young women.
“It was really important to us to ensure an event like Girls on Track is brought to Canberra. Such an inspiring, motivating and rewarding event like this should definitely be in the capital of our country,” Scanes said
“We truly believe it is important to educate our younger generation on the opportunities within the technology, engineering and motorsport space.
“At present there isn’t a lot of education around these especially for our younger females. It’s important to bring that awareness in early so we see more females emerging in these industries.”
“At Netier we have some incredible females within the technology space and we really want to share their stories to inspire the next generation.”
“We are so proud to sponsor such a fantastic event and organisation that is inspiring and celebrating women in every aspect of technology, engineering and motorsports.
“We hope that bringing this event to Canberra will bring awareness and education to help young girls in Canberra know the endless opportunities that are out there.”
The program also has events at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and The Bend Motorsport Park in March before heading to Canberra.
