Round five of the CAMS Australian Rally Championship (ARC), the Adelaide Hills Rally, is already shaping up as different and exciting with new event organiser Ultimate Motorsport Events at the helm, including a Super Special Stage at The Bend.
And in more good news, Bott Storage Systems have come on board as the event naming rights sponsor.
The 2018 Bott Adelaide Hills Rally, which begins in South Australia on 21-23 September, will be rally fan-friendly, based just 22 kilometres from Adelaide at Mt. Barker.
In an exciting new innovation, rally fans will be treated to a side-by-side, match-racing Super Special Stage where competitors will directly compete against their closest rivals at the new Bend Motorsport Park Stadium Circuit on the Friday night.
Special stages throughout the Eastern Adelaide Hills region and the Mt Crawford Forest on Saturday and Sunday are sure to showcase the skills and talent of Australia’s best rally crews.
Bott Adelaide Hills Rally Event Director Andrew Admiraal said he was excited to have a pair of long time rally competitors in Craig Beard (Bott Managing Director) and David McDonough supporting the event.
“It shows the great culture and is testament to the strength of the rallying community to have successful rally based business people put so much back into the sport by supporting events like the Bott Adelaide Hills Rally,” Admiraal said.
Beard believed the event presented a great opportunity to showcase Bott’s product range to motorsport fans and the general public alike.
“We have recently released a new range of dedicated trade-packs and the rally is a great way of taking the products out of the showroom and into the community,” said Beard.
Last year Bott brought rally legend Frank Kelly, and his whole family, down-under to compete and be a part of a multitude of events in Australia and New Zealand.
Bott is a global leader in the design and manufacture of in-vehicle and workshop storage equipment. The international Bott Group is represented by Bott Storage Systems in Australia and New Zealand and is proudly manufactured in South Australia.
The penultimate round of the 2018 CAMS ARC, the Bott Adelaide Hills Rally will also host the final round of the South Australian Rally Championship.
