Harry Bates and Coral Taylor have remained on top of the Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship (ARC) standings after a thrilling victory in the 2024 Forest Rally.
With the rally run as a Sprint event, where points were split across two heats, Bates and Taylor managed to extend their lead at the top of standings after winning their second event for the season off the back of a Heat 2 win.
After a solid fourth-place finish in Heat 1, where Bates and Taylor produced a stunning comeback after dropping out of the top 10 on stage one, Bates clinched the victory in Heat 2 which saw them move to 141 points in total.

Finishing second in the Galvaniize Insurance Power Stage, the pair added six bonus points to their total β moving to 147 points.
After picking up 76 points in Western Australia thanks to a second place in Heat 2 and Galvaniize Insurance Power Stage victory, Lewis Bates and Anthony McLoughlin solidified their position in second place and took their total to 118 points.
Meanwhile, the fight for third place is starting to take shape with only six points separating three crews following a dramatic second round of the season.
A second outright ARC consecutive podium for Alex Rullo and Steve Glenney saw them pick up 70 points in WA and finish the weekend on 109 points, with a gap of five points separating them and Forest Rally Heat 1 Winners Scott Pedder and Glenn Macneall.
While Eddie Maguire and Zak Brakey picked up an outright runner-up finish in WA, they were only able to reduce the deficit to the third placed Rullo by one point, remaining in fifth place as a result.
Just outside the top five, Steve Maguire and Peter Rullo are tied on 76 points each after an entertaining duel at the Forest Rally, which saw the former finish higher.

Molly Taylor and Andy Sarandis extended their lead in the Mainfix ARC Production Cup after clinching first place for the second time this year with a total of 90 points.
The duo now sit with a healthy lead of 41 points over Josh Wiedman and Nick Reid, who scored 71 points in WA courtesy of a podium. As a result, the duo managed to jump above Frank Oβ Shea and James Thornburn om the standings with five points now separating the two crews.
In the ARC 2WD Cup, Dave and Kelly Thomasβ dominance continued in WA after picking up victories in both heats and cementing their lead on the standings.
A runner-up finish in the Trenching Systems Australia 2WD Classic Cup for Peter Dimmock and Pau Bennet see them move to the top of the standings, however they have plenty of work to do with Rally of Canberra winner Trevor Stilling to return in Queensland.
The Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship season continues in Gympie, Queensland next month with the Accent Benchtops Rally Queensland on 28-30 June.
