2019 CAMS Media Accreditation is now open

CAMS is now accepting media accreditation applications, renewals and upgrades in readiness for the 2019 season.

Those who apply, renew or upgrade their CAMS Media Accreditation will receive their credentials before the 2019 motor racing season begins.

Included in the media credentials for 2019 will be a newly designed media vest and ID cards.

There are several benefits to being accredited by CAMS, including:

  • You receive personal accident insurance through CAMS which provides for a certain amount of compensation in the event that you are injured. Without this insurance you will not be covered by CAMS for any injuries you suffer at an event.
  • Having CAMS Media Accreditation makes a clear statement to event organisers about the quality of your portfolio, that you are bound by the CAMS Media Policy and that you are endorsed by CAMS. CAMS Media Accreditation is recognised by event organisers.
  • Many event organisers may only allow access to certain areas of an event to those who hold CAMS Media Accreditation. Those without CAMS Media Accreditation may not be able to access areas beyond those available to general spectators.

Applications close on Friday, 2 November 2018.

Photographers and journalists who miss the November deadline will not receive their accreditation in readiness for the 2019 season.

Applications for the 2019 Media Accreditation will open again in January for those who miss out on the first intake, with a month-to-month application process to occur from March 2019 onwards.

This year, CAMS can happily confirm there will be no increase to the media accreditation fees.
