Toby Price confirmed for full WRX Challenge in 2026

Australian superstar Toby Price will be a regular fixture in the highly anticipated EROAD Australian Rally Championship (ARC) season in 2026 after locking in a full Subaru WRX Challenge campaign.
Price will compete in a Subaru backed Maximum Motorsport entry in all four rounds of the Subaru WRX Challenge this year, with the class taking place at the Queensland, West Australian, Tasmanian and Victorian events.
Price made his debut in the ARC last year in Western Australia as part of the one-make category and won both rounds he contested, starting with a convincing victory in Western Australia where he won 12 out of the 14 stages.
His dominance continued in Queensland where he again won all but two of the available stages – making it four out of four heat wins for the Subaru WRX Challenge in his first two events in the ARC.
The Queenslander has become a household name in Australian motorsport through his efforts on the world stage in off-road competition on two wheels, while also transitioning to four wheels more regularly over the past few years.
Throughout his career, he has won the world-famous Dakar Rally on two occasions and won the prestigious Finke Desert Race a record nine times – six on the bike and three in a Trophy Truck.
Price’s journey into rally began in 2024 with small appearances at state-level events before winning Rally of the Heartland last year alongside regular co-driver, Holly Kilbride.
The Subaru WRX Challenge one make series is contested by identical specification all-wheel drive Subaru WRX placing an emphasis on the driver and co-driver.
A solid breeding ground for new and experienced drivers, further announcements on entries to the class will come in the coming weeks.
The 2026 EROAD Australian Rally Championship kicks off the season with Accent Benchtops Rally Queensland in Gympie on 17-19 April.
