Paddon and Rullos to combine in 2025

The EROAD Australian Rally Championship title-contending Hyundais will combine to create a super team in 2025, with incoming international star Hayden Paddon to link up with Alex and Peter Rullo.

The joint venture between the two parties is a major boost for the championship with Rullo Motorsport piloting a pair of Hyundai i20 Rally2 cars within the ARC across a number of seasons, while Paddon is a renown ambassador of the brand around the world.

As part of the deal, Rullo Motorsport and Paddon will combine resources at all six rounds of the championship, while also sharing a range of other key logistics and elements, including data and parts – instantly elevating Hyundai to title contenders for the manufacturer championship.

While Paddon has been a top performer in rallying over the years, Alex is a rising star of the national competition having improved significantly since joining and will benefit greatly from the arrival of Paddon.

With Paddon’s maiden ARC season edging ever closer, the New Zealander was excited for the effect the venture would have.

“I am excited to be teaming up with the Rullo team,” Paddon said.

“There was that natural fit being they have been campaigning Hyundai’s the past 2 seasons and our experience with the cars.

“Being on their home turf, they will be able to assist us with logistics and we will be able to use our team’s expertise to extract as much performance from all three Hyundai’s and help Alex and Peter with driving advice.

“Alex particularly has shown some huge progress in the past 12 months and I believe Alex will be at the front.

“After all, the more Hyundai’s we have competing at the front, the better, and collectively as a team, that’s what we are all working towards.”

Less than a month remains until the2025 EROAD Australia Rally Champions season kicks off with Toyota Gazoo Racing Rally of Canberra on 21-23 March.
