Barlow joins ARC on-air team

Charlie Barlow will join the Bosch Motorsport Australia Rally Championship coverage this weekend, alongside regular co-host Dean Herridge in Gympie for the Accent Benchtops Rally Queensland.

Barlow is subbing in for regular co-host Greg Rust at this event. After working at the Southern Lights Rally in New Zealand last weekend alongside some familiar ARC drivers and co-drivers, Rust is taking his first break with family in 18 months but will be back in his usual role at The Middle of Everywhere Gippsland Rally in Victoria in early August.

An experienced broadcaster and host, Barlow currently works with the Repco Supercars Championship as its PR & Media Executive, but also serves as event MC, Supercars big screen host and roving reporter, and has also featured on the Championship’s TV coverage.

Barlow is also a ‘Champion’ of the award-winning FIA Girls on Track program, where she helps to inspire future generations of girls keen to get a start in motorsport and the STEM related roles in the industry.

This year’s coverage of the ARC includes extensive action across social media as well as daily wrap shows available on the Saturday and Sunday night of each rally event, free and on-demand via the ARC’s broadcast partner, 7plus. A full highlights show also screens on 7plus and 7mate following each event.

Barlow said she was excited to be joining the ARC team.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the ARC team in Gympie this weekend,” Barlow said.

“While Rusty takes a well-earned break, I’m looking forward to immersing myself in all things rally, and beyond excited to be working alongside the fantastic Dean Herridge.

“The world of rallying is all a bit new for me, but I can’t wait to share the energy, the cars and the competition of this awesome event with our audience.”

This weekend’s Accent Benchtops Rally Queensland takes place in Gympie on 28-30 June.
