WRC Entries for Rally Australia closing soon

Australian crews wanting to take part in Kennards Hire Rally Australia have until Monday 14 October to enter the FIA World Rally Championship component of the event.

While competitors have until 14 October to register their place in the WRC, the ARC and other local competitions are open until 25 October.

Hosting the final rounds of both the CAMS Australian Rally Championship (ARC) and the WRC, all cars that comply with WRC or ARC regulations can compete.

Taking place on the picturesque Coffs Coast, crews hoping to enter both championships are eligible to a $1000 rebate on the usual $2500 entry fee, allowing them to take part in all 25-stages including the WRC’s Thursday and Friday night Super Special Stages.

Another bonus for Australian drivers holding national competition licences will be the free upgrade to the required international level needed to compete on behalf of CAMS.

Clerk of the Course Wayne Kenny believed the discounts will benefit the competition and attract more crews.

“A discounted entry fee makes entering the WRC at Kennards Hire Rally Australia a highly attractive proposition for any serious competitor with an eligible car,” Kenny said.

“It offers four days’ rallying in the company of the world’s best drivers on some of Australia’s best roads. Big crowds, great atmosphere and high-quality event organisation will ensure an unforgettable experience.”
