National Capital Rally finds new home

The Netier National Capital Rally has signed on a new official accommodation partner in Abode Hotels, with the hotel company also set to provide the rally headquarters for May’s event.

Acting as third round of the CAMS Australian Rally Championship and holding the honour as the only motor sport event in the city, the Netier National Capital Rally is expected to attract spectators from both state and country.

While Abode Hotels will provide the event’s headquarters, it will also host the competitor hub and Service Park in Abode Woden, where spectators will have the opportunity to meet some of the best rally drivers in Australia.

Abode Hotels general manager Rien Donkin was excited about the new partnership, believing the importance in creating a positive experience for all visitors.

“Community engagement and industry support is key to the continued growth of the events like the Netier National Capital Rally,” Donkin said.

“Abode Hotels is proud to align with the ACT Government and Brindabella Motorsport Club in support of the event, and we look forward to a successful rally for competitors and spectators.”

With the event to take place around some of the picturesque forests of Canberra, rally event director Adrian Dudok was thrilled with the convenience the new deal would offer for everyone in attendance.

“With seven hotels across Canberra, Abode Hotels offers quality accommodation, that is flexible and accessible for competitors, volunteers and spectators,” Dudok added.

“Hosting the rally headquarters, competitor hub and service park in one location at Abode Woden is not only convenient for drivers and crew, but also creates a vibrant event atmosphere for spectators and supporters to experience.”

The Netier National Capital Rally will officially launch in Kowen Forest on 21 March before the official event commencing on Saturday 11 May in Uriarra Forest.
