As round 3 of the Australian Rally Championship and round 2 of the NSW State Rally Championship the event will be conducted over three days of action, and combine many Classic cars at the front of the field for the first time in 2010 from the 14 to 16 May 2010. This year, the Coffs Coast Rally organisers have worked hard to provide an event that will test you in many ways. This is a very different event, designed around an endurance concept that will require excellent driving and an ability to strategise should you wish to stand on the podium. If that’s not your game, then you will enjoy the long stages that dominate the event. The length of the rally will be approximately 694kms including 22 Special Stages which have a special stage distance of approximately 292.00kms. The most exciting part for us as organisers is that we have secured the use of roads NEVER used before in a rally in the clubs 40 year history. This year, the event is a mix of traditional forestry stages that are legendary in Coffs’ history as well as many shire stages. Not only are we proud to announce that the Coffs City Council has again come to our aid recognising the financial impact of the event to our economy, but we are also excited that we have introduced another local government area, the Clarence Shire Council (Grafton) to the sport. It is with their support that we have been able to secure some of the most spectacular shire roads in the area. You will visit the historic township of Glenreagh during the event and the organisers encourage all, for the future of the sport, to avail yourselves to the community’s wonderful hospitality. Pacific Bay Resort are again offering VIP discounts and their facilities for all competitors. The organisers encourage you to enjoy their luxurious surrounds and fine hospitality during your stay in Coffs. As in 2008 each competitor will have access to unlimited VIP discount passes (20%) for food and beverages at the resort. Accommodation packages are indicated below. The Organisers would also like to thank the multitude of officials and volunteer’s helpers and supporters. The volunteers come from many a mile away, as far as Canberra and Brisbane and all stops in between. Locally the event would not run without the help of many car clubs in the northern NSW region and include clubs such as the Coffs Harbour and District Sporting Car Club, the Kempsey Sporting Car Club, the Hastings Sporting Car Club, the New England Sporting Car Club and the Central North Coast Sporting Car Club. There are many other clubs assisting and a special thanks to the Nissan Datsun Drivers Club. Without these people’s help the event would not be possible. With the use of Shire roads, and the work that has been undertaken by Forests NSW since the floods of 2009, the roads are in the best condition for many a year. Latest News
