The 2006 Quit Forest Rally has something for everyone and we welcome everyone to the rally. As we
continue to work hard at improving the rally each year, it is becoming closer to a Festival of Motorsport
rather than just a rally.
The primary purpose for the Quit Forest Rally is to run the WA Round of the Australian Rally
Championship. Australia’s best rally crews will be here to tackle the magnificent roads in the Nannup
plantations. Running alongside is round 2 of the WA Rally Championship where the WA crews will be
chasing valuable points.
For the first time we are also offering the opportunities for lower budget Clubman crews to enter a one
day rally. This is not part of the Clubman Cup. The Clubman Rally will start after the last WA crew in
Nannup on Saturday morning and will do all of Saturday’s competition ending up in Busselton doing
the two Busselton Toyota Super Stages.
In addition there will also be the Shannons Busselton Tarmac Rally on Saturday afternoon on the
Busselton Toyota Super Stage for crews who don’t want to get their car dirty or are after valuable
experience for Quit Targa West, WA’s only tarmac rally.
There will be plenty for Corporate guests as well. The Geographe Bayview Resort will be providing
Hospitality Villas at the Busselton Toyota Super Stage on Friday and Saturday evenings and at the
Nannup Golf Course jumps on Sunday morning. The catering is first class and all guests are
guaranteed a great time.
There is also plenty for the spectators. On Friday and Saturday evenings at the Busselton Toyota
Super Stage there is non-stop rally action, Extreme motocross bikes, sideshows, food and drinks
stalls, live band and fire works (Friday only). Out at Nannup there are heaps of opportunities so see
the action up close and the main street of Nannup becomes the Service Park.
With all this happening there is heaps for the Officials and we will need plenty of them. If you are keen
on ARC, WARC, Clubman or Tarmac you will be able to be part of the Quit Forest Rally. With so much
going on Officials will get plenty of time to see the action somewhere when they are not on duty
themselves.
To make sure everyone knows the Quit Forest Rally is happening there will be TV advertising on
Channel 10 and WIN TV, radio advertising on Hot FM, front page wraps in The West Australian
Motoring and the Bunbury and Cape Herald newspapers, spectator guides by Auto Trader and
distributed through every letter box in Busselton, posters, flyers, street banners, websites, bumper
stickers and heaps more.
Of course none of this would be possible without our sponsors and supporters. We have over 18 key
supporters plus the ARC sponsors. Their logos are printed on everything we do so you won’t miss
them. We ask that when ever you can that you support them and thank them for their support.
