Entries open for BOTT Adelaide Hills Rally

Crews can now secure their place at the next round of the CAMS Australian Rally Championship in South Australia.

The 2018 Bott Adelaide Hills Rally will take place on 21-23 September and will take in some of Australia’s best rally roads, along with plenty of exciting action for spectators.

With the service park based at the Mount Barker Showgrounds, the event promises a “country fair atmosphere” with plenty of sights and sounds for motor sport fans of all ages.

The service park will be a hive of activity, with some of South Australia’s ‘funky food trucks’, sponsor displays from Bott, Shannons, Leader Computers and City Holden and other event partners.

Embracing the latest technology, the first ever Adelaide Hills Virtual Rally Experience will also feature at the event – open to all comers to test their skills on state of the art equipment, whilst also competing against others and the actual competitors of the event.

The Bend Motorsport Park will host all the action on Friday evening, with the brand new facility hosting its first every ARC Super Special Stage that night, with two cars to compete at once on the specially designed stage.

Saturday will see competitors taking part in stages throughout the Adelaide Hills eastern regions from Callington to Kersbrook, with several returns to the Adelaide Hills Rally Service Park for vehicle checks and time with the public. Saturday evening will see all event competitors taking part in an online rally competition with each pitted against the other for outright honours in the inaugural Adelaide Hills Virtual Rally Experience Cup.

Sunday will find the crews heading out to the southern areas of the Adelaide Hills, again coming back to the Adelaide Hills Rally Service Park on numerous occasions, with the event finishing with a podium presentation on the Sunday afternoon.

The event also doubles as the final round of the South Australian Rally Championship.
